POSITION DESCRIPTION

 

Title: OTC Marketing Manager
Position Type: Full time
Reporting line: VP Sales and Marketing
Effective Date: Immediately

 

 

Position Summary

PuraCap Pharmaceuticals is an exciting, growing company with an established footprint in the manufacture and distribution of OTC pharmaceutical products as well as topical prescription medications.  This role will be responsible for managing OTC Marketing activities; Private Label Experience and Consumer Packaged Goods Experience (CPG) and working with retail chains.

 

 

A.   Major Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the coordination and completion of marketing activities for OTC market, especially Private Label business for retail chain stores.
  • Partner with field sales (or Brokers) to manage key retail and contract accounts
  • Build strong relationships both internal and external relationships with suppliers and customers to understand their needs as well as ours.
  • Manage various marketing activities including packaging redesign, line extension, market research, advertising and consumer promotions
  • Coordinate with Procurement, Supply Chain, and planning to forecast and allocate assigned products.
  • Coordinate with Quality and Regulatory to ensure compliance with regulations and appropriate documentation.
  • Coordinate launch of new products, and product line extensions to meet customer launch dates.
    • Organize, manage and coordinate graphics and show services, booth design, space planning, shipping for trade shows
    • Assist in other areas, as assigned

B.   MINIMUM/ PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

 

Bachelor’s Degree Required
Experience:

Additional Skills /

Knowledge:

Minimum five years of relevant experience is required

 

- Prior experience in Marketing or sales support in Private Label business within OTC or the Consumer Package Goods.

- Private label marketing experience is preferred.  Should have the perseverance, drive and self – confidence to handle the entire functions in a fast paced environment.

- Ability to work cross functionally among other departments in Finance, Purchasing, and Quality

- Must possess good leadership skills.
- Capable of planning and managing meetings within a multicultural global management environment.
- Ability to anticipate and adapt behavior to situation, audience, circumstance.
- Team oriented, able to build constructive relationships with multiple, diverse team members.
- Attention to detail, accuracy and a tenacity for follow-up.
- Ability to hold self and others accountable for commitments in a productive and assertive, positive manner
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

- Experience in planning systems (eg MS project), knowledge of Word and Excel.

   

C.    PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:

  • Laboratory and office environment
  • Ability to stand/walk on hard surfaces for extended periods of time
