Position Summary
Packaging, sales and distribution company looking for a qualified individual for the Supply Chain Specialist position. The ideal candidate will be a motivated professional who thrives in a fast- paced working environment with the ability to multi-task and possesses excellent interpersonal skills. The Supply Chain Specialist will be involved in all levels of planning, tracking and execution of procurement, packaging, and distribution activities. Company is in a growth phase and offers a highly competitive benefits package.
Essential Functions
- Assist in monitoring inventory levels of all OTC & Rx products in relation to sales forecast & demand.
- Assist in analyzing & reporting customer buying trends & demand changes to ensure adequate inventory levels to meet demand.
- Generate periodic inventory & sales reports & distribute to key staff & Corporate Team Members.
- Help coordinate between Warehouse and Packaging Team to support the packaging processes and to establish inventory continuity and control.
- Be supportive of Finance and Quality Teams.
- Perform setup of new inventory items and customers.
- Assist in coordinating timely purchase orders for “just in time” delivery.
- Utilize & maintain proficiency in use of internal ERP systems for multiple companies for reporting and tracking of daily inventory transactions.
- Aid in entering purchase orders and non-EDI sales orders when needed.
- Support in the research & mining of data from select internet sources to support marketing strategies & solidify pricing and procurement decisions.
- Assist as needed in preparing shipping documents for outbound OTC & Rx deliveries.
- Maintain customer & vendor files as required.
- Support in all other Supply Chain functions & tasks as needed.
Position Requirements
- Proficient in use of MS Excel
- Strong Analytical Skills
- Must be detail oriented
- Comfortable with multitasking
- Previous experience in procurement and planning a plus
- Previous experience with ERP systems and reporting a plus
